The Crossroads is a bulletin board provided so you can discuss Outland services and other assorted topics of interest.
The basic guidelines for using The Crossroads are simple. Most functions are available though double-clicking. When posting a long message or downloading an enclosure, you are free to engage in any other activity you wish, like posting and downloading other files, browsing through other messages, or perhaps playing a game of chess. You can always abort an activity, like reading a long message, posting a bulletin, or downloading an enclosure, by closing the relevant window or pressing the "Stop" button in the Communications Activity window.
To open a folder or read a message, double-click on it. To download an enclosure within a message, select the item you wish to download and press the download button. You can get information about the enclosure by double-clicking it. To post a bulletin, hit the "Post" button from the Bulletins Window. The message you write will be posted in the current directory of the Bulletins Window - so make sure to first go to the folder in which you want to post you message. Please do not post messages in the initial directory.
You will notice some makings by various folders and messages. A hollow triangle next to a message indicates that you have not yet read this message. A solid dot next to a message indicates that the message is new, i.e. it was not there the last time you opened that folder. A solid dot next to a folder indicates that that folder contains a new message.
